µComp Diode Compressor Colour Module Kit [v2]

Description:

In cooperation with DIYRE, we are presenting our Colour Diode Compressor, inspired by the classic british diode design, adapted to fit on a small board. Now with a simpler revision 2 (pictures follow).

This new version comes with all complex parts pre-installed in their counterpart surface mount style. Only the following parts are subject to manual soldering in easy through-hole packages:

• 4x Capacitor
• 5x Diode
  
• 2x Trimpot
• 2x Transformer
• 2x Pin-Headers (ratio Jumper and connector)
  

Using miniature transformers that should not be underestimated in terms of capabilities that, together with the diodes, enable a sound range from subtle control to aggressive shaping with detailed transients, all while infusing the source with that vintage, warm tone.
Fit with independent Attack and Release trim controls, along with a 2:1 and 4:1 Ratio setting jumper, which can be omitted to bypass the sidechain, to achieve an audio pass-through saturation/distortion device.

The Threshold is controlled via the drive knob of the Colour system.
